The Vineyards

Malenchini Wine Estate

The vineyards extend for 44.5 acres, using organic practices and planted with native vines such as Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Pugnitello and Malvasia and international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Chardonnay. The density of plantation ranges from 5,000 to 6,500 plants per 2.5 acres, trained with guyot and spurred cordon systems.

Our vineyards, nurtured and individual

Our very special "terroir" (a characteristic given to the wine by the soil and climate of the place where it is grown) was achieved through careful selection of grape varieties and clones, based on exposure and soil composition.

The soil is a medium mixture of clayey loam. The entire terrain, located at an average altitude of 250 m a.s.l., has a South / South-East exposure with the ideal average rainfall for creating a microclimate capable of supporting quality viticulture.

Our cellars, our wine production
Our cellars, our wine production

Our wine production process is followed with devoted care from the harvest to the bottle. Each individual variety from its distinct location is brought to the new vinification cellar where, in the first phase, it is developed to enhance its character. Our finest wines then continue their aging process in the historic cellars of the company.

The micro vinification, combined with a skillful paring down process, allow us to produce wines with a marked freshness, softness, and elegance, preserving the unique qualities of each grape variety.

From the grapes to the bottle, every phase of our production is carried out according to our time-honored traditions. You can savor our passion in every sip!
